Dear Business Partner,

Recently, you completed the 2009 Existing Business Survey distributed by Roanoke County’s Economic Development Department. In the survey, you indicated an interest in exploring possible opportunities for your business with the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.

To meet the multiple number of requests, we have invited Debbie Melvin, VJIP Project Manager for the Virginia Department of Business Assistance, to lead an information forum on workforce assistance. The forum will be held on Tuesday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fourth Floor Training Room of the Roanoke County Administration Center at 5204 Bernard Drive.

If you do not qualify for the Virginia Jobs Investment Program, Debbie Melvin and colleagues will also present other assistance programs that may be beneficial to your business in tough economic times. Joining Ms. Melvin will be Sandy Ratliff, Business Services Manager for the Virginia Department of Business Assistance, and Anna Mackley Cobb, Project Finance Manager with the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority.
